How To Create A Cool Boys Bedroom
I know loads of Mums who say they wish they had a girl so that they could do a beautiful bedroom. But boys rooms rock! There is so much cool stuff out there you can really have some fun.
I also like my rooms to have a bit of a difference - not just same same, mass produced furniture. Take this bed... this has been my most-asked question on Insta. Where is it from?!
It's a simple IKEA KURA bunk bed which I added ply panels to, to make it a little more Scandi and natural looking. And doesn't the bedding pop! That's because it's Sack Me! who specialise in fun reversible kids bedding which mixes and matches beautifully.
I've also turned their vintage kids wardrobe into book storage which means their room is organised and uncluttered, whilst also adding a bit of revamped charm.
Love By Five has a wonderful collection of kids books that are more appreciated on an uncluttered bookshelf, which you can see below... (left: repurposed vintage wardrobe; right: uncluttered ladder shelf)
Once your furniture is in place, you can play around with the decor - and Love By Five is full of the WOW stuff!
I love their wall hooks (the Sketch Inc one shown above as a door handle on the vintage wardrobe), their wall banners (YAY and To The Moon And Back), the storage options (like this new Sack Me! fabric storage hamper), the CUSHIONS (Sack Me! have done it again with a metallic take on their Krispy Dreme donuts) and please note the lovely metallic crown wall print by Papier D'Amour) the black and gold playmat and the skateboard (info available in store or contact the girls)
I hope you like this little take on a boys bedroom. Check out more of my blog posts on the Love By Five site and you can also find me over on Insta as @tubucollective
